Winterlude
Winterlude is held in Ottawa-Gatineau every year in February. With activities like the famous Bed
Race, the Waiters and Waitresses on Ice Challenge there is fun for everyone. There’s also Trotting
on the Rideau, a horse race on the Rideau Canal Skateway, which has been a staple event since
the very 昀椀rst Winterlude in 1979. Now it’s considered the 昀氀agship event of the winter tourist
season in Canada’s Capital Region.
Canadian Tulip Festival
The Canadian Tulip Festival started in 1952, and since it is continually held in Ottawa the capital
of Canada. Thousands of Tulip 昀氀owers are spread everywhere over the city during the festival that
holds various kinds of culture events.
Ottawa’s Summer Dance and Music Festivals
During the warm summer days and evenings, Canada’s capital beats to the sound of countless
outdoor (as well as indoor) music festivals. From June through September, you can see big name
stars in massive live concerts or intimate shows during world-class festivals, attend fun sporting
events that feature free live musical acts from across the country, and discover local happenings
that highlight local, regional and international culture and talent.

Orpheus Musical Theatre
Ottawa’s premiere musical theatre company is known for its professional quality productions that
are produced and performed by talented local amateurs. From classic musicals to recent
Broadway hits, Orpheus Musical Theatre entertains audiences with a wide range of productions
as well as special events that are held at third-party theatres in the city.

Classic Theatre Festival
Ottawa Valley’s only professional theatre company presenting the classic hits of Broadway and
