Award winning restaurant, serving seasonally-inspired,
locally-sourced Scottish food. Not only is this restaurant
the best rated in Aberdeenshire, it’s actually the best rated
in the region as a whole, which makes this a must visit too.
Rothesay Rooms was set up by Prince Charles in the wake
of Storm Frank flooding, which damaged a large number
of buildings in Ballater. And looking at the reviews online
the food and drink appears to be fit for royalty with an
amazing 96% of reviews rated as excellent or very good.
It was over a hundred years ago that the famous Walker
family started baking shortbread in the Speyside village of
Aberlour, surrounded by the picturesque landscape of the
Scottish highlands, and it is where they remain to this day.
Walkers bake the most extensive selection of pure butter
shortbreads available – with many varieties and sizes to
choose from, whether it be the familiar fingers, rounds
and petticoat tails or something a little far more unusual.
In its distinctive tartan packaging, Walkers range of products is packed with Scottish character, both inside and out.
The name Walkers is recognised as a mark of excellence
the world over, a true Scottish classic, you’ll have to agree.
