The Henry Augustus Willard Suite, named for the hotel’s founding visionary, evokes timeless
elegance. Newly restored, it features a stately parlor for entertaining and a serene, courtyard-facing
bedroom—an ideal retreat that balances grandeur with intimacy.

OVAL SUITES
Inspired by the baroque architecture of the Oval Office at the White house, the Willard’s six
Oval suites blend presidential grandeur with artistic storytelling. Each suite is distinguished by
a mural that reflects the life and legacy of the historic figure it honors, transforming the space
into both a residence and a living tribute.
The Julia Ward Howe Suite, dedicated to the abolitionist and author of The Battle Hymn of the
Republic, features a mural of passion flowers—named after her celebrated book. Restored with
refined elegance and offering views of Pennsylvania Avenue, the suite captures Howe’s spirit of
artistry and purpose while enveloping guests in history brought to life through art.
